Traditional mini tatami mats are manufactured by Kamimata Tatami Sangyo Co., Ltd., located in Monzen-cho, Sakamoto, Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture, at the foot of Mount Hiei Enryaku-ji Temple, a World Heritage Site.

This is a gorgeous mini tatami mat that has been carefully crafted using brocade fabric, a particularly luxurious type of textile.

The core material of the mini tatami mats is made from tea-blended boards made by Itoen, which is famous for its Oi Ocha tea, and has a deodorizing effect due to the green tea ingredients.

In addition, these mini tatami mats are environmentally friendly as they make effective use of used tea leaves and reduce the amount of wood used.

★ Tatami mat

Machine-spun washi paper is used and coated with resin, so there is little risk of mold or fading, and maintenance is easy.

★Tatami edge

Brocade is a particularly luxurious fabric. It is made of gold and silver threads and colored threads as the weft, and is a patterned fabric woven so that the pattern stands out.

★Mini tatami mat core material (the base part inside the mini tatami mat)

We use tea blend boards from Itoen, the famous manufacturer of "Oi Ocha."
